Every so often we get recommendations from readers to try a foodie place they love. So, when Rosa’s was suggested, our graphic designer Richard’s arm was first in the air.

Here Richard tells us about his experience on a balmy, typically Thai evening in our Welsh capital.

How were you greeted?
On arrival we were welcomed immediately and shown to our table.

What did you think of the ambience/décor?
The interior was clean and simple with some stylish touches, greenery behind the bar added some freshness to the room. The blue, green and wood colour scheme created a warm atmosphere.

Who did you go with?
I went with my father and his partner, there was supposed to four of us but my sister had to go to hospital – more food for me…

Were the staff attentive?
From when we arrived until we left the staff were friendly and always make sure we had drinks. Service was quick and always accompanied by a smile.

Did you think it was value for money?
The food was very good value for money, but I think we spent more money on cocktails than food (not complaining).

What did you think were the stand out dishes that you’d definitely order again?
I love sweet and savoury dishes, so the Rosa’s Red Pineapple Curry was a huge hit for me. That, combined with the sticky rice, meant I was in heaven.
