For those of you who haven’t been to The Ivy yet, here is the lowdown on this extremely popular restaurant in the heart of Cardiff.
The Ivy very kindly invited us to a celebrate summer with them one evening in July. We do like The Ivy, it’s a feast for the senses. If you haven’t been, we suggest you book. It’s one of those places you just have to experience.
The Restaurant
The Ivy Cardiff brings relaxed, sophisticated all-day dining to the heart of the capital. From modern British classics to Asian-inspired cuisine and fantastic vegan and vegetarian dishes, you’ll find something for everyone to love, seven days a week. The restaurant is a luxurious haven from the everyday bustle of the city centre. As well as the main dining area, full of beautiful Art-Deco detail and striking burnt orange banquettes, there’s the show-stopping first-floor bar, set underneath a stunning blossom tree.
Private Dining – The Shearwater Room
The Ivy Cardiff’s all-day private dining space. Its polished parquet floor and beautiful Art Deco-style brass lighting set a stunning stage for artwork that references the variety and range of the local area, from Cardiff Castle to The Welsh Dragon and The Hayes. This diversity is also reflected in the room itself, which is able to accommodate intimate private dinners, landmark celebrations, and corporate events alike. It’s a tailored touch they carry through to the carefully crafted menus specially designed to fit your needs.
The Shearwater Room which holds up to 24 guests seated on round tables, up to twenty on a long table, and up to forty guests standing. It’s visually impressive – looking for something special? This is it.
