The Wardrobe is one of those cool little Cardiff gems that makes you want to return once you’ve visited. Set down a secretive alleyway on Kings Road, if you didn’t know it was there and blinked, you’d miss it.
But, take our word for it, it’s well worth a visit. Beautifully designed inside in a cool, retro way that just oozes charm. It’s called The Wardrobe because the interior is basically old, repurposed wardrobes. The quirky, upcycled vibe is further enhanced by a great selection of artworks and ephemera – the whole thing just works, beautifully.
Camille is the lovely young lady that runs it and her coffee is very good. You’ll also find some rather delicious cakes for sale and they even sell organic eggs!
Yes, this little Pontcanna gem is exactly what Cardiff needs, so forget Starbucks and make a beeline for The Wardrobe. It’s the perfect place for a cuppa and a natter when you’re contemplating your potential purchases in Pontcanna’s boutiques.
