This Christmas an Etsy Made Local pop up shop will make an appearance in Capitol Shopping Centre.
The shop, which is open until Christmas Eve, is run by CAVEtsy the local Cardiff & Valleys Etsy team. There are 31 makers involved who have each brought their work to the shop. There’s a wide range of handmade crafts available including all styles of jewellery, ceramics, woodwork, stained glass, furniture, wall art, knit, crochet, felt work and print.
Shoppers will find something to suit all budgets from unique stocking fillers to homeware. The shop is being run and staffed by the makers themselves so pop along as this is your chance to meet and support your local artists.
On weekends the makers are offering workshops where you can go along and learn to crochet, sew patchwork, make a wire ring, a pair of earrings, origami Christmas decorations or a Christmas wreath. There will also be demonstrations where you can see how the artists create their work. There is always something for the kids to do with colouring in books and handmade canvas tents in the shop.
The CAVEtsy shop is open from Monday – Saturday 9.30am to 5.30pm. Sunday 11am to 5pm.
