WELCOME

It’s that time of year again when the nights start to draw in and we look forward to the changing colours of Autumn. Some of you may have returned from fabulous holidays abroad, and many of you, like me, will have endured what has felt like the wettest Summer for a very long time. Let’s hope that Autumn rewards us with a stunning display worthy of this truly special season.

A big thank you to everyone who called and emailed saying how much they enjoyed our first issue of City Life. Please keep your feedback coming in on what you like, and what you don’t like, so that we can keep giving you what you want to read. Your opinions really do mean a lot to us.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed meeting new friends in the City and surrounding areas. That’s the beauty of this job. The only downside is not being able to splash out on all of the lovely things that I see when I’m out and about.

The summer has undoubtedly been a bit of a washout and, with the media banging on about the credit crunch, this has meant that everyone’s tightening their purse strings. It would appear that many of us have chosen to spend our holiday time at home, which hopefully has meant a better time for shopkeepers when they need it most, especially the sole traders.

Don’t forget, keep sending me your business news and details of events. If I can use it, I will.

All the very best,
Jennifer Hobbs-Roberts

PS As I’m often asked, the dress I’m wearing in the picture above is available from Pebble in Cowbridge.
