Lydstep Beach in Pembrokeshire is truly the hidden gem of South Wales, a place where holidaymakers return again and again from all over Britain to enjoy the wealth of facilities on offer at the fabulous Holiday Village.

THE HIDDEN GEM OF SOUTH WALES...

Take the A4139 out of Tenby towards Pembroke, drive about three miles and on your left you will come across the entrance to Lydstep Beach Holiday Village. Continue to drive through the woodland, descend the hill and there it is.

‘Stunning’, ‘idyllic’ and ‘gorgeous’ don’t overstate the beauty of it. Pembrokeshire boasts Britain’s only truly coastal National Park – a spectacular mix of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, wooded estuaries and wild inland hills. But Lydstep Beach is something else again!

You may have seen photographs, heard people talking about it, or driven from Tenby to Pembroke and not even noticed it. But drive past this remarkable spot, and you’ve really missed a trick. You owe it to yourself to spend some time at Lydstep Beach.. and you’ll soon realise that it’s quality time.

Aside from the sheer beauty of the place, the area has an almost magical quality about it, which could have something to do with its long and interesting history dating back to the 5th Century Saints, Norman Earls and Tudor merchants.

Undoubtedly, one of the things these ancestors all loved about Lydstep Beach was its tranquillity. Whiling away a few hours on the beach, visitors and locals alike find that they easily lose track of time.

The beach itself – together with the spectacular adjacent cliff scapes of Proud Giltar and Lydstep Point which top and tail it – provide some of Wales’ most breathtaking scenery. A stunning natural harbour, tucked away from modern civilisation and much the better by being unspoilt by it.

It’s also renowned for its crystal blue water... don’t be surprised to see dolphins playing off the shore!

Something for everyone
The beach’s Blue Flag and Seaside Awards will appeal to sunbathers, swimmers and parents alike. The Blue Flag is the highest award that a beach can attain. The Europe-wide standard means that the beach has met the highest levels of water quality as well as 25 other criteria including lifeguarding, toilet facilities and dog control.

Lydstep beach offers a great range of facilities including superb relaxation and leisure facilities, an excellent country club, entertainments, and a choice of quality eating and drinking.

Of the holidaymakers who visit Lydstep Beach Holiday Village, the attraction is so strong that many decide to buy their own holiday homes on the site. With a wide variety of holiday homes there’s something to accommodate all tastes.

The added bonus for those that own their own holiday home is that they have exclusive access to the Boat Park at no extra charge. Including a slipway that makes for easy launching and recovery, and there’s also mooring and boat storage available, making it easy for boat owners to leave their craft at the beach for the whole year, avoiding the hassle of trailing.

Come to Lydstep Beach once, and you won’t want to stop coming back!
