THE VALLEYS
Into the Valleys A summer launch
It's official. Good Life Publishing's third magazine title, Valleys Life, will be launched this summer.
It's been a long-held dream of the company to publish the title. Readers of Valleys Life can expect the same quality of writing and design that readers of City Life and Vale Life have come to know and love, but with its own character to reflect the charm and spirit of the south Wales valleys.
The first magazine is scheduled for publication in June. Jennifer Hobbs- Roberts, Managing Editor said, "We came very close to launching last year but the recession and credit crunch meant that we had to hold fire - now it's full steam ahead at last. We're delighted to be publishing in the Valleys. Strategically, this is an important development for our business. In audience and readership terms it joins up the dots for us in South Wales."
Mark Roberts, Good Life Publishing's Creative Director said, "I grew up in the south Wales valleys so this is really exciting for me personally. The valleys is a special place and I think you only really get that if you've grown up there. There will be a lot of pleasant surprises for readers. We're going to show them the very best south Wales has to offer."
Green like the Valleys
Good Life Publishing has also ensured that the magazine's carbon footprint is kept to an absolute minimum. Like City Life and Vale Life, Valleys Life will be printed on paper from sustainable sources and with no eco-unfriendly gloss lamination. The magazine will be printed by Pensord Press in Blackwood.
Mark Roberts added, "We believe in supporting our local economy but that's not the only reason we have partnered with Pensord. Their quality of delivery and customer service is superb. I genuinly like this company. I like their values and I like the people. We're so proud to have our magazines printed by Pensord here in south Wales. Every penny we earn is invested back in our local economy. That's of paramount importance to us."
