Positive psychology of re-branding
Sometimes, one of the best things
you can do to get more business is
to change your image.

It has a great psychological effect on...
A) Your customers
They look at your transformation
positively. Even if they don't like the new look, they will nearly always perceive it as a move forward. It also gives you a reason to revisit old business relationships that, perhaps, have lapsed.
B) Your suppliers
If you're taking the trouble to rebrand you can't be struggling financially (or at least that's the perception). Suppliers will see this as bold and, inevitably, they will talk positively about your business on their travels. Which leads us neatly to...
C) Your competitors
Rebranding says to your competitors, "We're expanding. We're changing. We're evolving, We're going places." And that's unnerving to a competitor.
D) You
You'll feel like you're doing something positive. It'll make you think about your business - how it's perceived and how you want it to be perceived. It will make you re-evaluate - in a good way.
Basically, rebranding is win, win all the way - if it's done properly. There are lots of good design companies out there all looking for work. Don't ask them to do free work, it's unethical. It doesn't need to cost the earth, so what are you waiting for?
