AWARD-WINNING RESTAURANT
LAUNCHES NEW MENUS

Affordable fine dining as The Crown at Celtic Manor showcases
three AA rosettes

To celebrate becoming the only restaurant in South Wales to win three AA rosettes, The Crown at Celtic Manor has launched new menus to showcase its award-winning cuisine.

The Crown was one of only three new recipients of the coveted three AA rosettes standard from outside London when the 2009 list was announced.
Not yet a year old, the new restaurant is inviting more people to sample its fine dining experience at prices which will not break the bank in these credit-crunched times.

A new midweek Menu du Jour offers three courses for only £35 per person. Available Tuesday to Thursday, the special menu offers a choice of two starters, two main courses and cheese or dessert. The full a la carte dinner menu is still available Tuesday to Saturday, offering a wider selection of three courses for £47.50.

The Crown is offering a further opportunity to make savings on its new Friday evening tasting menu, with five sumptuous courses for £47.50. The full, six-course taster menu is priced at £65, with a £35 sommelier selection supplement for wines which complement the individual dishes available with both menus.

The Crown has also reduced the price of its popular express lunch menu with two courses, served within an hour for those pressed for time, costing only £14.95 and three courses for £19.95.

Only opened in April in a ground-breaking partnership with nearby The Crown at Whitebrook, Wales’ only Michelin-starred restaurant, the new venue has also been listed in the Good Food Guide for 2009.

James Sommerin, who has won and retained the Michelin Star at The Crown at Whitebrook, is now the executive chef at both restaurants while Tim McDougall is the head chef at Celtic Manor, the five-star Resort which will host The Ryder Cup in 2010.
