Deborah Louise Blake was born in Cardiff and now lives in Llanharan on the border of The Vale Of Glamorgan and Rhondda Cynon Taff. Her business ‘My Mummy’s Cakes’ is based in Cardiff .
What do you love about what you do?
I love what I do because I am able to research, use my imagination and create things and challenge myself on a daily basis.
What do you love about Cardiff life?
Cardiff is my home city and I love it because of its history, diversity and multicultural status.
What do you like about City Life magazine?
City Life magazine is interesting because it reminds me about things I do know about Cardiff but also provides me with information which I don’t.
What restaurants and cafes do you like?
I like the restaurants at Cardiff Bay, but also the ones in St David’s 2. They offer a wide range of food options for all tastes. Bella Italia is one of my favourites.
Where do you shop?
Mainly at Vanilla Valley (for my business needs), as for personal needs, usually local super markets although I do try and use independent food suppliers as much as possible.
Who do you recommend?
The little sewing works is a business I would recommend, always helpful and very reliable. Of course I would also recommend my own business: “My Mummy’s cakes”.
