I don’t know any woman who wouldn’t be delighted at receiving a stunning piece of jewellery. Whether it’s bespoke or an individual piece of jewellery from a contemporary designer,Brooklinde certainly has that something special to offer.
DESIGNED TO PERFECTION
I imagine Christmas is a busy time for you, what exciting things have you in store for customer?
We love this time of year, and yes we are very busy, whether it’s making our own designs or displaying the new collections from designers such as Alexis Dove and Dower and Hall.
Each year we try and showcase some very bold, statement pieces. Current collections show stunning silver and gold textured cuffs and neckpieces from Atelier Gilmar. The designers, Gill and Alan Saunders, embrace new techniques, layering different metals and textures to give a striking finish.
The collection ranges in price from £70 to £750. We also have a range of yellow gold, grey pearl and grey/black diamond jewellery from Mounir, its soft colours and eye catching diamonds look amazing on all skin tones. Prices range from a very affordable £145 to £995. Pearls are still very strong this Christmas and the Dower and Hall collection with its pale silver pearls will be very popular. Their white topaz and 18ct yellow gold and silver rings are also a must have for adding that extra bit of glamour. Prices range from £30 to £795.
What are the most popular items that customers buy at this time of year?
Can you cater for all budgets? In the run up to Christmas engagement rings are always a strong contender. If the purchase is a surprise ,we do all that we can to guide the customer from choosing the perfect diamond, to deciding on types of metal and finish.
Larger jewellery, yellow gold and accessorising is in vogue this year and we are designing and making with this in mind. Larger hoop earrings, silver textured cuffs, stacking rings and gemstone bangles are going to be definite favourites.
We want as many people as possible to enjoy wearing our jewellery and do our very best to accommodate all budgets.
Can customers order bespoke pieces in time for Christmas?
Customers looking for individual and distinct pieces of jewellery will be spoilt for choice when visiting Brooklinde.
Rob, Clare and Emma already have a large number of commissions, which will keep them busy in our on-site workshop right up to Christmas Eve, but we work very hard to fulfil all our customers’ requests.
Any exciting plans for the 2010?
In January we’ll be showcasing our extensive range of wedding rings and jewellery at the Ladies First Wedding Fair in Cardiff’s City Hall. We’re also approaching our tenth anniversary and will be looking for a fitting way to mark the occasion and thinking of expanding Brooklinde Jewellery By Design so 2010 looks like it will be an exciting year.
