The Hair Studio is a dream come true!
Owner Rachel Williams always dreamed of opening her own hair salon and now that this has been realised, we caught up with her to see how she was settling in at her new salon in Pontcanna.
Why did you choose Pontcanna?
I thought Pontcanna would be the perfect area for me to set up the salon as it’s such an affluent area, full of boutiques, high quality jewellers, florists and restaurants and has such a strong community feel.
How long have you been in the industry?
I’ve been working in the hairdressing industry for nearly twelve years now. I trained in a salon in Cowbridge and my skills grew to the level that I began training others. This has enabled me to create what I believe is a strong professional salon.
What do you believe you can offer?
With the help of La Biosthetique, we are able to create high quality colour and offer problem solving products for any skin and hair type and style.
Are your clients local?
I’m happy to say that the local client base is growing very quickly. I also have clients who travel from further afield. One of whom is Kate, pictured above right, who has been a client of mine for many years. She travels from Pen-y-Groes, near Llanelli every six weeks to have her hair re-shaped.
We’ve got to know each other well over the years and I make sure that she, along with all of my clients, are treated very well and that they enjoy the experience.
